Yes, true! I hope we don't scare the "loonies" and apologist away. In the long run....they might need us and this forum. Let's look at it as a possibility to awaken people and help them get out.

"Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky

I just wonder, why on earth are people trying to wxpose the WT? The internet is full of facts about the WT, anyone with internet access can use google to see it. OK! The WTS can get a lot more negative publicity, but this doesn't help people getting out of the organisation. As long as their family/friends are still in it is very difficult to leave. I mean emotionally and socially difficult.
I don't think it is possible to make the WTS to reform. The most important is to help people getting out with as few emotional wuonds as possible.

I had some ideas that we discussed at another forum.
In same way (under cover) making a network for active JW who want to leave. This could be done on the web, but insiders are needed. The important thing is that those who wish to leave are guaranteed immidiate help, for example by psychologists etc.
The other idea was to organise some group disassociation. To nnounce a certain date for DA, this could be twice a year or so, maybe at assemblies/convents. I know that the ex-mormon movement has organised such events.

A very simple trick for helping JWs - be nice to them on YouTube!
by cedars inrecently i had someone contact me on facebook, thanking me for helping her awaken from indoctrination.. i am always interested in finding out the mechanisms behind people "awakening," so i asked her what i had done to make a difference.
it turned out i had left a complimentary remark on one of her youtube videos (she was singing a kingdom song) and she learned ttatt after clicking on my name and seeing the so-called apostate videos on my channel.. i don't think it was any of my own videos she ended up watching - from what she described it sounded like someone else's video that i had "liked.
" nonetheless, it was enough for her to become inquisitive and start exploring, and before she knew it she was free from mind control.. the moral of the story?

Remember...every JW have some kind of belief that "apostates" are terrible and cruel people. If a JW observes that this is not a fact, a lot of things can happen.
I don't understand how some people think. Today we have had two newcomers to this forum, at least one of them a JW (the dutch woman who wants to find a brother to marry) and one maybe a JW (who wrote about the AAWA). Why the heck starting insulting those people? Why being so confrontative? Do people here wish to scare them away? Do you want to show them that their prejudice towards apostates are correct?
I think everyone here does know that you can't reach a JW by being confrontative. All the alarm bells will ring, as well as they do if you bombard then with facts about false prophecies and cases of child molestation. If we should be able to reach them we must talk to their "authentic self", not the "cult self" . Remember the cognitive dissonance.

Yes, that's my point. If they claim to be Gods own organisation they cannot be uncertain and liberal. Everything with the society should fall apart in that case.

in regards to AAWA
by johnamos inoh how i wish i could just write out something that would cause you all to know and understand that what i say is true.
or i wish i could tell yall that i am going to do something like cause an earthquake (with jehovahs spirit backing me) at a certain place and time, then after i posted such info then it occurred just as i said...then maybe you would listen and believe what i say.. .
and even more so, your lack of knowledge and belief in jehovah and in his word the bible.

Just one question:
Look at this: "Yes, the MANY things you say against the WTS/GB are correct, but you fell to understand that this is all foretold and allowed to happen by Jehovah. "
This could be a person who is a believer, but critical of certain things in the WTS and the GB. I don't see the reason to act like "apostates" are supposed to do according to the society. Certainley not when this was his first post. Probably he was scared away, maybe into the arms of the society, rather than being on his way out. It could also be a DF'ed person, and thus very lonley and comfused. I think it could be a god idea being more careful when debating newcomers.
But this is just my opinion..I don't have the absolute truth
